  • Study purpose: continuation of the basic package by studing the mixing of a non-disolving powder into the main liquid
  • Description: During the study will be performed biphasic simulations for a specific geometry with one liquid and one powder, at different mixer rotational speeds and/or liquid levels
  • CFD Results:
    • Flow patterns (velocities, mass fluxes, etc.)
    • Suspension homogeneity: powder volume fraction (concentration)
    • Mixing time for different inlet port positions (the time for the same type of liquid to be dispersed in the entire volume, starting from the inlet region)
  • Analysis:
    • Homogeneity analysis – Output of powder volume fractions; Comparisons with the data available in the literature
    • Mixing time analysis – Analysis of the mixing times
